Birth Doula Support

Birth works beautifully when it's given a safe, supportive space to unfold — that's what physiological birth is all about. For most of history, women gave birth surrounded and supported by other women, held both physically and emotionally. So much of that built-in community has faded, and somewhere along the way our culture learned to fear birth rather than trust it. Restoring that sense of safety is the heart of what I do — a calm, steady presence beside you, so you feel safe enough to let your body do exactly what it already knows how.

However your birth unfolds, you'll never be caught off guard. Together we'll explore all of it — your hopes, your questions, the choices in front of you — so that when labor begins, you can quiet the outside noise, turn inward, and trust yourself completely. Because real confidence isn't something anyone can hand you. It grows from understanding your options, making them on your own terms, and knowing, deep down, that you're capable.

Two Prenatal Appointments Our two prenatal visits take place at a chiropractic office in Sterling Heights, where we'll get to know each other and talk through your hopes, wishes, and any concerns for your birth. We'll create a birth plan together and go over what to expect in each stage of labor, the positions and comfort measures that can help you cope, and how your partner can take an active, supported role. We'll also talk through postpartum readiness, so you feel prepared for the days and weeks after your baby arrives.

Unlimited Phone & Text Support Once we begin working together, you'll have unlimited phone and text support. Whether you have a question, a worry, or just need reassurance, I'm only a message away throughout your pregnancy and as your due date nears.

Birth Attendance When labor begins, I'm available by phone to support you through early labor and help you gauge when things are progressing. I'll join you in person at your birthing location when labor is active and stay with you continuously through labor and birth, offering hands-on comfort measures, position changes, and steady encouragement for you and your partner. The labor support fee includes up to 12 hours of in-person support; after 12 hours, you'll be billed hourly at $40 per hour.

Immediate Postpartum Care Following delivery, I'll stay for 1–3 hours to help you settle in, assist with your baby's first latch, and make sure you're comfortable with your newborn before I go.

Experienced Backup Doula In the rare event I'm unable to attend your birth, an experienced and trusted backup doula will be there in my place, so you're never without support.

Postpartum Support & Birth Debriefing After your birth, I'll stay in touch with continued phone and text support during your recovery. We'll set aside time for a birth debrief to talk through your experience together, and I'll give you detailed notes documenting your birth, so you have a written record of your journey to keep.

Payment My services are cash pay only. I do not accept insurance or Carrot Fertility benefits. Payment can be made in full or split into two payments.

Birth Support: $2,000

Birth & Postpartum Support: $2,500

Everything included in Birth Support, plus one in-home postpartum visit during your first month — a deeper layer of care for the season most families navigate alone.

In-Home Postpartum Visit The early weeks after birth are tender, and they often get lonely once your partner heads back to work and the extra help fades. This visit is made for exactly that moment. I'll arrive with a nourishing, home-cooked meal, and while it warms I'll draw you a calming herbal bath — a small, restorative ritual just for you. Once you're cozy and back in bed, I'll serve your meal and turn to whatever feels most pressing: dishes, a load of laundry, tidying the spaces weighing on you. Before your visit, you'll tell me what would lift the most off your plate, and that's where I'll focus. You choose the timing — whenever in your first month you need it most.
